2nd Recovery Street Film Festival

Following a successful first year in 2014, the 2nd Recovery Street Film Festival is launched today, with the theme ‘My Story’. It is a competition for people to tell their stories through film of how they achieved recovery from substance dependence.

The Festival has been organised by a partnership of drug and alcohol treatment providers and charities including: Angelus Foundation, Phoenix Futures, Turning Point, Action on Addiction, CRI, Addaction and Blenheim CDP. Link here >>>

Hester’s Story

Hester Stewart, was an outstanding 21 year old medical student, student mentor and cheerleader was the then legal high GBL after an awards dinner in April 2009. Combined with the small amount of alcohol she had consumed during the evening, it sent her into a coma from which she never awoke .
