The Home Office today announced a Temporary Class Drug Order (TCDO) on five compounds related to methylphenidate would come into force from midnight tonight. The sale and supply of these particular substances would then become a criminal offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Headshops and internet suppliers are being forced to eradicate their stock of various legal stimulants. The products affected by this ban include Gogaine, Psyclone, El Blanco, Ching and Burst.
A Court in Kent yesterday ordered the forfeiture of legal high products seized by police. The Court found more than 600 of the products are unsafe and there were deficiencies in their labelling under the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 which prohibit any unsafe product from being supplied.
